Welcome to FixtureLink (hereinafter referred to as "this App" or "we"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use this App. Please read this policy carefully before using the App. We only process information necessary for the App's features, and unless otherwise stated in this policy, all information is processed locally on your device and is never uploaded to any server.

1. Information We Collect and Use

We collect and use the following information only to the extent necessary for the App's features, and disclose the purpose, method and scope for each item below. Unless otherwise stated in this policy, all information is processed locally on your device and is never uploaded to any server or shared externally.

1.1 Device and App Information

Data: device model, operating system version, system language, screen size and resolution, app version, and network status (Wi-Fi / mobile data / Bluetooth on-off state).

Purpose: UI and feature compatibility, connection status detection, troubleshooting, and update notifications.

Method: read through public operating-system interfaces while the App is running.

Scope: used only locally on your device; not stored, not uploaded, not shared.

1.2 WiFi Network Information (SSID / BSSID / Device IP Address)

Data: the name (SSID) of the WiFi network you are currently connected to, the access point identifier (BSSID, i.e. the MAC address of the router/access point), the device's own IP address, and derived network addresses (such as subnet mask, gateway address and broadcast address).

Purpose: to identify and determine the network your phone is on (whether it is on the same local area network as the fixtures, or whether it is connected to a fixture hotspot), and to provide the network address information required for fixture discovery, connection, configuration and local-area communication (UDP / Art-Net control protocols).

Method: after you grant the location permission, read through Android system WiFi interfaces (WifiManager / WifiInfo).

Scope: used only in this device's memory for local-area communication and UI display; not stored, never uploaded to any server, not shared.

Note: the MAC address above refers to the physical address (BSSID) of the router/access point (AP) you are connected to. Due to Android system restrictions and because the App has no such need, we do not obtain the physical MAC address of your phone's own network adapter.

1.3 Nearby WiFi Network List (WiFi Scan)

Data: names (SSID), access point identifiers (BSSID) and signal strength of nearby WiFi networks.

Purpose: displayed in the App only when you configure a fixture's wireless network, so that you can select the network the fixture will connect to.

Method: after you grant the location permission, obtain scan results through the system WiFi scanning interface.

Scope: displayed and used only locally on your device; not used for positioning; not stored, not uploaded, not shared.

1.4 Installed App Information (Software Installation List)

Data: information about app components on your device that can respond to specific system actions (for example, whether there is an app that can open a file, install an app update package, or open an external link).

Purpose: only when you trigger the relevant features (such as opening/exporting files, viewing online help, in-app version updates, or system permission status checks), to determine whether the corresponding system action is available, ensuring features work and navigate correctly.

Method: through a system interface (PackageManager) query of whether a system action can be handled; only the result of whether a usable component exists is returned.

Scope: we do not read, save or collect your full software installation list; the result is used only instantly and locally on your device; not stored, not uploaded, not shared.

1.5 Location Information

When using Bluetooth functionality, this App requires location permission (as required by the Android system); this permission is also a prerequisite for reading the WiFi information described above (SSID / BSSID and the nearby WiFi list). We only use this permission while the App is in the foreground, for scanning and connecting to nearby lighting fixtures. We do not upload, store or share your precise location information, and we do not use WiFi information for positioning.

1.6 Storage Permission (File Read/Write)

To support local caching of fixture configuration and fixture-library files, and the reading, writing and storage of firmware update files, app update packages and log files, we request your storage permission to read and write the files required by these features. All data is stored only on your local device and is never uploaded to any server.

1.7 Fixture Information (Fixture MAC Address and IP Address)

As a WiFi fixture management tool, when scanning, connecting to and managing fixtures, this App obtains the MAC addresses and IP addresses of the fixtures you manage through local-area communication. This data is necessary to establish fixture communication, addressing, status monitoring and parameter configuration, and is used only for local fixture management and control; it is never uploaded to any server or used for other purposes.

1.8 Lighting Configuration Data

When you use this App to manage lighting fixtures, we store configuration parameters locally on your device, including but not limited to: DMX addresses, channel modes, physical axis (Pan/Tilt) settings, color parameters, etc. This data is stored only on your local device and is never uploaded to any server.

1.9 NFC Read/Write Information

When using NFC functionality, this App reads parameter information from NFC tags on lighting fixtures, and updates tag data when you write configurations. NFC operations occur solely between your device and the fixture, and data is never uploaded to any server.

1.10 Log Information

To optimize App performance and troubleshoot issues, we may record App runtime logs, including operation timestamps, feature usage and connection status. The logs are kept only on your local device, are anonymized and do not contain any personally identifiable information, and are never uploaded to any server.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Provide Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity and device scanning functionality
• Enable lighting fixture configuration, dimming, real-time monitoring, and firmware upgrades
• Facilitate NFC read/write operations for fixture parameters
• Display nearby Wi-Fi networks for selection when you configure a fixture's wireless connection
• Handle network address information (such as the device's own IP address) required for local-area communication
• Determine the availability of system actions so that features like opening files and in-app updates work correctly
• Optimize App performance and user experience, and troubleshoot App issues

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or otherwise provide your personal information to any third parties. We may share limited information only in the following circumstances:

• Legal Compliance: When required by laws, regulations, or judicial/administrative authorities, we will provide necessary information in accordance with the law.
• User Authorization: With your explicit consent.

4. Data Storage and Security

4.1 Data Storage

All lighting configuration data is stored locally on your device only (including local storage and NFC tags). We do not operate any cloud servers to store your configuration data or personal privacy information. For in-app version upgrades, the App only downloads the update package from our official server and never uploads any personal information from your device.

4.2 Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted storage (such as NFC data encryption) and access control. We also regularly review our data collection and storage practices to ensure the effectiveness of our security policies.

5. Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal information:

• Access and Correction: You can view and modify lighting configuration parameters within the App.
• Deletion: You can delete locally stored data by uninstalling the App or resetting fixture configurations.
• Permission Management: You can enable or disable location, Bluetooth, NFC, and other permissions at any time in your device's system settings.
• Withdraw Consent: You can withdraw your authorization by deleting the App or disabling relevant permissions.

6. Children's Privacy

This App is not intended for children under the age of 14. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us and we will promptly delete such information.

7. Cookies and Similar Technologies

This App does not use cookies or any similar tracking technologies.

8. Third-Party Services

This App may contain links to third-party websites (such as our official website). This Privacy Policy does not apply to these third-party websites, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices. Please review their privacy policies before use.
